This project, “The ghost town” depicts the city of Poggioreale, founded in Sicily in the mid-1600s and destroyed in 1968 due to one of the most terrifying earthquakes in the history of Italy. The story in images, through a processing technique aimed at ruining and stylizing the photographs, wants to materialize the feeling of dreamlike desolation that fills the environment. Silence inhabits the abandonment of homes, the large church with no floor, the school with lonely benches, the rubble that covers and hides parts of a small forgotten reality.
